🍂 Morning, bookish friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful day, i am extremely happy with autumn here… the cooler weather which means more sweaters! 🍂

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

Before i get into the books i tend to stray away from the main reasons are family life, books are huge and i tend to get side tracked A LOT with other things i either need to do or don’t feel like doing! I’m not the only one to do these though which means i am not alone.

Let’s just get into the list shall we and see what i can come up with? ✨

Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller

I Don’t Want It To End!!!! i love anything with sirens and female leads! Alosa is my fave.

⁣The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano ⠀

I got scared from some bad reviews!!!

⁣Scythe by Neal Shusterman

The hype is real with this one!

⁣State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury

I can not remember the real reason for this one but there was a reason i did not want to read it.

⁣Dumplin by Julie Murphy

Iv’e been wanting to read this and watch the movie but every time i either watch something then read i dont like it or the other way around i still tend not to like or nip pick about it.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

THE HYPE, it took all my momentum to read this last year.

⁣Finale by Stephanie Garber

Another one i don’t want it to end yet i love these characters too much.

⁣Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

It’s HUGE and i have already watched three seasons of the show.

⁣Zenith by Sasha Alsberg

Read some bad reviews!

What is one reason you wont read a certain book?

  1. The hype is for sure real with Scythe, and I’m not sure I can help on that front because I read and loved that and Thunderhead so much that it’s killing me waiting for book three. xD CoBaB has a ton of hype, too, and I think I fell for it a bit and ended up disappointed, so I’ve been way more reluctant to read overly hyped things.

    Here’s my TTT post.

  2. I definitely can see why you’re avoiding specific books because of bad reviews! It makes reading them so daunting because it’s like in theory we all know that taste is subjective but there’s still just enough of that fear instilled. That being said, I actually enjoyed Zenith (it wasn’t my favourite, but it certainly wasn’t bad) and Finale was hard to say goodbye to because the Caraval trilogy is an all time favourite BUT it’s a great novel. Here’s to hoping you enjoy these if/when you get to them!

    1. Oh totally! You keep having the thoughts of bad reviews while reading them and it either will be the whole time your reading your thinking bad thoughts about it or you can not make up your mind. I stopped reading reviews as much as i can just so i can go into it blind and find out myself. So happy you enjoyed them though and i can not wait to read them.
